Markus Pelzek
Undergraduate Researcher (Department of Biochemistry)
Senior, Neuroscience major and history on the pre-med track. Plan on taking a gap year after graduation and then attending Medical School.
Current Research
Markus is currently working with Pan on post-transcriptional regulation in liver development, liver regeneration, and liver diseases.
Outside the lab
During the time Markus spends back home he enjoys spending time with his orange tabby cat Sammy, and catching up with friends from home. Outside of class he enjoys his time volunteering at the food pantry, Crisis Text Line, and soup kitchen.
Off-campus, Markus goes skiing and hunting. On campus, during his freetime, Markus enjoy going to bars, reading about current news and politics, biking, and improving on my lackluster drawing skills.
