‘Fola received his MD from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in 2022, after which he joined the Kalsotra lab to pursue his Ph.D.

Current Research

‘Fola is currently investigating the molecular basis of mitochondria dysfunction and bioenergetic defects in hearts affected by myotonic dystrophy type I (DM1).

Outside the lab

‘Fola loves Community Health Volunteering and he established two volunteer NGOs as a medical student. When free, he prefers watching his favorite shows on Netflix.
